Four Digit Fault Codes

JENN-AIR, MAYTAG, MAGIC CHEF - LARGE CAVITY RANGES AND "D" SERIES WALL OVENS MODEL YEAR(S): 2003 AND NEWER

FAULT CODE DESCRIPTION

Each fault code consists of four (4) digits. The function of each digit is described in Table 1 below.

2nd Measurable: d – Diagnostic failure: measurable parameter

Fault Code, Problem, Component(s) to Check

1C1C Shorted Key................................................................... Check wire harness connector and ensure proper connection and wires show continuity. If ok, replace control.

1C2C Keyboard tail disconnected ...........................................(single cavity or upper oven) Check wire harness connector and ensure proper connection and wires show continuity. If ok, replace control.

1C31 Cancel key circuit (single cavity or upper oven) ............ Replace control.

1C32 Cancel key circuit (lower oven)....................................... Replace control.

1C4C Micro communication failure.......................................... Replace control.

1C6C EEPROM error hardware fault......................................... Replace control.

1C7C Control not calibrated .................................................... Replace control.

1C8C User-option CRC error in EEPROM.................................. Replace control.

1C81 CRC cook profile error (single cavity or upper oven) ..... Replace control.

1C82 CRC cook profile (lower oven)........................................ Replace control.

1D11 Temperature above 600° F and door unlocked.............(single cavity or upper oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection. If ok, replace control.

1D12 Temperature above 600° F and door unlocked.............(lower oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection. If ok, replace control.

1D21 Temperature above 950° F and door locked .................(single cavity or upper oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection. If ok, replace control.

1D22 Temperature above 950° F and door locked .................(lower oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection. If ok, replace control.

3D11 Sensor open ..................................................................(single oven or upper oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection.

3D12 Sensor open ..................................................................(lower oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection.

3D21 Sensor shorted ..............................................................(single cavity or upper oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection.

3D22 Sensor shorted ..............................................................(lower oven) Ohm oven sensor and harness. Verify proper connection.

3D41 Meat probe shorted........................................................(single cavity or upper oven) Ohm meat probe and check for shorted harness. If ok, replace control.

3D51 Meat probe not calibrated ..............................................(single cavity or upper oven) Replace control.

4D11 Door switch position error, opened when latch locked ..(single cavity or upper oven) Check door switch and ohm door switch wiring.

4D12 Door switch position error, opened when latch locked ..(lower oven) Check door switch and ohm door switch wiring.

4D21 No/low cooling fan rotation (no RPM)............................(single cavity or upper oven) Check connection at cooling fan. If ok, replace blower. DO NOT REPLACE CONTROL.

4D22 No/low cooling fan rotation (no RPM)............................(lower oven) Check connection at cooling fan. If ok, replace blower. DO NOT REPLACE CONTROL.

4D31 Cooling fan state error (states on when fan off) ............(single cavity or upper oven) Check all fan connections. If ok, replace control.

4D32 Cooling fan state error (states on when fan off) ............(lower oven) Check all fan connections. If ok, replace control.

4D41 Cooling fan rotation over speed.....................................(single cavity or upper oven) Check all fan connections and check for airflow restrictions. If ok, replace cooling fan.

4D42 Cooling fan rotation over speed.....................................(lower oven) Check all fan connections and check for airflow restrictions. If ok, replace cooling fan.

4D51 Door switch circuit failure...............................................(single cavity or upper oven) Check connections and wiring.

4D52 Door switch failure (lower oven) .................................... Check connections and wiring.

9D11 Latch will not lock...........................................................(single cavity or upper oven) Check door lock connections. If ok, replace door lock assembly.

9D12 Latch will not lock...........................................................(lower oven) Check door lock connections. If ok, replace door lock assembly.

9D21 Latch will not unlock.......................................................(single cavity or upper oven) Check door lock connections. If ok, replace door lock assembly.

9D22 Latch will not unlock.......................................................(lower oven) Check door lock connections. If ok, replace door lock assembly.

9D31 Latch both locked and unlocked ....................................(single cavity or upper oven) Check door lock connections. If ok, replace door lock assembly.

9D32 Latch both locked and unlocked ....................................(lower oven) Check door lock connections. If ok, replace door lock assembly.
