Dryer Installation Tips

Installation don'ts....

  • Don't use plastic vents
  • Don't crush the vent under the dryer
  • Don't use screws on the venting joints
  • Don't allow the airflow to become blocked
  • Don't allow birds or other critters to nest in the vent system

Installation do's....

  • Do use rigid or flexible metal vents
  • Do tape or clamp venting joints
  • Do use short and straight vents
  • Do periodically check the outside vent cap to assure the air is flowing
  • Do clean the lint filter after each drying cycle
  • Do install the dryer as per local installation codes
